Task Guidelines

1. Allocation of groups and tasks: by now everyone should have a group and this group a school assigned.

2. Go to the school you were assigned and ask for the existing syllabus and teacher so you can interview him/her. You can ask for the teacher first and then for the syllabus, whatever works best for you! This is the part of the objective needs.

2. You should interview some of the students (use the survey in our handout, chapter 5 "Focus on the Learner" pages 151-152) about their subjective needs.

3. Based on the data collected, you should create a new syllabus for that school after analyzing their objective and subjective needs.  There are six types of syllabus design you were introduced to in class and by your classmates. Your new syllabus has to match the objective and subjective needs of the program in that school.

4. Create a PPT which you will use to explain the why and how of your task to your classmates in class.

5. You will present a paper copy of the old and new syllabus to the teacher (in a folder).

6. Due date:

a. sending the PPT to teacher´s e-mail: October 28 (fnm34@hotmail.com) no in-demand flash pen drive will be accepted.

b. presentation of tasks in class: October 29, all groups (each group has 7 minutes to present)

No more time will be allocated to this task. Due date is FINAL!
